Sanibel Beaches in Northern Michigan

Every year the Eister family heads to Northern Michigan for some rest and relaxation. This July, the weather in Northern Michigan has been fantastic! Sunny and 80 almost every day of our trip. We like to take day trips over to an area of Lake Michigan near Cross Village in Emmet County. When we arrived at the sandy dunes, we notices the waters were quite calm. We parked ourselves next to a family that had more children than we do, which is not always easy to do! Sitting on the cool sand near the shore, you wouldn't know you were not looking at an ocean. The view on the horizon was the same, where the sky meets the water.



Just as we thought we were thousands of miles away from Southwest Florida Real Estate, we heard the "chatter". As the mother next to us built sand castles with her children, she commented "One day we will take you to Sanibel Island. On Sanibel, the beaches are filled with shells. If you don't find a perfect shell, you can throw it right back in the ocean. It is so beautiful!"
